Brewing Methods
Coffee is just coffee right? Wrong!
There are many different ways to brew coffee depending on how you like your drink.
Below is an overview of some of the most popular types along with grind and bean recommendations
Espresso
To brew espresso coffee, start by grinding fresh coffee beans to a fine consistency.
Then, fill the portafilter with the ground coffee and tamp it down firmly.
Next, attach the portafilter to the espresso machine and turn it on.
The machine will force hot water through the coffee producing a rich and flavorful shot of espresso.

Espresso also forms the base for many popular coffee drinks such as Latte, Flat White and Cappuccino

Moka/ Stove top
To make coffee in a Moka pot, start by filling bottom chamber with cold water up to the valve.
Then, fill the filter basket with finely ground coffee and level it off then place the filter basket into the bottom chamber and screw on the top chamber.
Heat the Moka pot on the stove over a gentle heat until the coffee starts to flow into the top chamber.
Once the coffee is finished brewing, remove the Moka pot from the heat and serve.

French Press
To make coffee in a cafetiere, start by boiling water and grinding your coffee beans to a coarse consistency. (Use approx 8g per 125ml of water)
Add the coffee grounds to the cafetiere and pour in the hot water. Stir the mixture and let it steep for 4-5 minutes.
Finally, press down the plunger slowly and pour the coffee into your cup. Enjoy!

Aeropress
To make coffee in an AeroPress, start boiling water and letting it cool for a minute.
Grind your coffee beans and place them in the Aero. Pour the hot water over the coffee and stir 10 seconds.
Insert the plunger and press down slowly to extract coffee.
Enjoy your freshly brewed cup of coffee!

Drip
To make coffee in a V60, start by boiling water and grinding your coffee beans to a medium consistency.
Place a filter in the V60 and rinse it with hot water to remove any taste.
Add the coffee grounds to the filter and pour hot water over them in a circular motion, making sure to saturate all the grounds.
Allow the coffee to drip through the filter and into your. Enjoy!

Cold Brew
To make cold brew coffee, start by coarsely grinding your beans.
Then, add the grounds to a large jar or pitcher with a mesh filter and pour in cold water through the grounds.
Stir the mixture and place it in the fridge for at least 12 hours, or up 24 hours for stronger brew.
Once the time is up, pour and serve either over ice or with milk.
